Skills USA
According to http://skillsusa.org, "SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel. We provide educational programs, events and competitions that support career and technical education (CTE) in the nation’s classrooms." State Tech is pleased to host the state contest for Missouri on our campus every spring, in which hundreds of students, both secondary and post-secondary, compete in a wide variety of career-related contests. A great deal of planning and preparation goes into this event.
The state competition starts on a Thursday; State Tech classes are still officially in session however some arrangements may need to be made for classes whose class space or time is interrupted. On Friday, State Tech classes are cancelled; employees will receive an assignment for that day. Some employees will also have an assignment for Saturday. See below for sample information.
