Withdrawal – a student who has attended or participated in STC class(es) during a semester and decides to leave STC before the last day of that semester. See Article Withdrawal Procedures.

Void – The process of removing a student from a class or classes for which he/she registered at STC, but that he/she never attended or participated in. This procedure applies to:

  • No Shows.
  • Non-Returns.
  • Current students who never attend or participate in a class or classes for which they registered.

Class Roster Documentation to Void Class. If the class roster returned by a faculty member after the last day to add and drop classes shows that a student has not attended or participated in the class, the student will be voided from that class. The class roster will serve as documentation for this schedule change. Academic Records Office will complete an Add-Drop Form.pdf to remove the student from the class. The Registrar will notify the student.

Drop – The process of removing a student from a class or classes for which he/she is registered at STC and in which he/she has attended or participated. This procedure applies to:

  • Withdrawals from the college
  • Current students who complete and submit an Add/Drop Form for a class or classes for which he/she is registered at STC and in which he/she has attended or participated.

See Article Class Dropping Procedure.
