The College will be having its annual Career Expo in the Activity Center on February 11, 2015. The registration deadline for employers is December 1st. There is no charge if employers register before December 1st. After December 1st there will be a $25 registration fee.
Instructors: Please ask your students to RSVP and view the employers attending in HireEagles. Students need to research the companies, and decide who they want to visit with. The booth layout will be available prior to the event.
Please review your students' resumes that are uploaded in HireEagles as these students are representing your department. Some students have not taken the Job Search Strategies class and do not have a resume. If your students want to have a resume for the Expo, please ask them to come to Career Services for help - the sooner the better.
A number of employers are interested in conducting interviews with students on campus the afternoon of the Career Expo. Students will have until January 30th at 4 p.m. to drop a resume to employers. To drop a resume to an employer for the Career Expo, the student will first need to have a resume uploaded in HireEagles. Students will need to log in to their HireEagles account and view the employers attending for their major to know who they would like to drop a resume to. Students can only drop one resume per employer. If you have students who are unable to drop a resume to an employer, please ask them to come to Career Services before 4 p.m. on January 30th so we can help them figure out why. Employers have been mailed an interview sign-up sheet where they can sign up students for interviews, prior to the Expo. This is why it is important for students to drop their resumes asap, so hopefully they will get an interview the afternoon of the Expo. Not all companies have indicated they want to interview, but there may be some that change their mind after they see what kind of students we have looking for work.
Please do not hesitate to contact Career Services if you have any questions.
