The Merit Badge University is hosted on the Linn campus for boy scouts throughout Missouri. It is a one-day program, typically on a Saturday in July, that gives scouts the opportunity to earn a merit badge in a college environment and learn about different fields of study. This event is a great opportunity for the college to showcase its expertise and campus. Boy Scout Merit Badge information can be found at http://usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/list.asp. The individual merit badge links are listed on the left side of the webpage under the All Merit Badges category. These links will provide the badge requirements and worksheets.

The College has typically provided STC instructors for the following Merit Badge classes:

  • Archery
  • Automotive Maintenance
  • Aviation
  • Citizenship in the Community
  • Citizenship in the Nation
  • Communication
  • Computers
  • Drafting
  • Electronics
  • Engineering
  • Metalwork
  • Personal Fitness
  • Personal Management
  • Public Speaking

For those STC employees who have graciously volunteered their knowledge and skills in support of the Merit Badge University event in the past, your commitment is greatly appreciated, and as always, its success depends upon the continued support from individuals from these specific fields.
